An Introduction to Mrs Mac – Discover Our Story and Values
Hello there, my name is Mrs Mac and welcome to our little corner of the internet. I will preface this by saying I have never written a blog before, and I have a tendency to ramble, so hold on to your hat, this could be a wild ride!
I debated a while as to what the first blog post should be, settled on a quick run down on Mrs Macs' and what our business is all about. I will keep this as brief and painless as possible.
Mrs Macs' to me isn't just a business, its very much about promoting a softer, calmer and slower way of living. A few years ago, sudden but progressive chronic health conditions forced me to very sharply change my life and the way I was living. This was the reason Mrs Macs' was born.
I am a firm believer that the reason poor mental health is so prominent in todays world is due to the way we are living. Nothing is made to last, older ways of living have been lost. Skills that were once hugely important are now defunct and forgotten. Attention spans have been shortened, in short, we have forgotten quite literally how to stop and smell the roses. I am trying to help people reconnect with our forgotten ways, to live more intentionally, more slowly, and hopefully to improve mental health along the way too!
My main aim here is to become everyone's favourite adoptive aunty. Think Mrs Beeton but modern. From baking recipes, sourdough starters, sewing and household tips, to vintage/reworked/handmade items and of course Ducks too! This space very much will be a space everyone can enjoy!
The site is still being loaded up, as I am sure you can see, which is another reason for a quick intro. We have ducks being incubated, recipes and patterns being developed, stock being made/reworked/upcycled ready to list, and many other lovely things happening in the background. Social links are on the site so you can follow what we are up to, watch live streams and we also have a link so you can subscribe to our weekly newsletter too.
I think that's about everything for now. I just wanted to pop on, say hello, ramble a little then awkwardly leave, I think I've managed this perfectly!
Keep your eyes peeled for updates on the site, and hopefully I will see you all very soon.
Much love, have a wonderful week. Sarah x
